The following poem is, I believe, the first poem I wrote. It is not my favorite, by any means, as there are many things I would change now–but I am at least fond of the allegorical elements.
His words are cool waters, soothing the flesh;
Pale white is the crown which adorns him.
Softly he wanders, giving joy afresh,
As crimson sun sets swiftly to find him.
His eyes are olivines, treasures of old,
Searching the valleys for one to be true;
"Compassion is his, the finest of gold,"
Declare Mariana and Makalu.
Come hear him lulling the laelias;
Come see him moving ethereally;
His son is greater than Aurelia's--
Sent Emperor of Earth, indelibly.
He is the west wind, rousing dust to din,
The stillness alight, breathing life within.
