Love, My Love

Love, my love, where have you gone? The days have become shorter. I seek you and look after you; yet, you are nowhere to be found. My love, my love, what have you forgotten? I am in the temple, as a wanderer through many columns. My love, my love, where have you gone? The sun has set, forgiving its borders; the moon has gone away, forgetting the passage of time; the creatures below have become drowsy, putting to rest all that was. My love, my love, what do you desire? I am like one who draws near at dawn, yet nearer in the depth of night. What has been said? what have you heard? You are made weary by thoughts of the earth. Come, for the day has given way for the rebirth of many things–now, I must away.
